Today is the day the french eat la galette des Rois. A golden puff pastry filled with Frangipane= a kind of almond paste cream. It is delicious! It is baked and sold in France for the month of January but today is the "galette day". Traditionally a "fève" which is a small porcelain figurine is hidden inside the cake. The person who finds it, wins the crown (which is usually in paper).
